О мероприятии
15 июня 2026 года состоится международный научный семинар «Solid Waste Management and Circular Economy / Обращение с твердыми отходами и экономика замкнутого цикла». Мероприятие ориентировано на студентов института экологии и других образовательных подразделений РУДН, а также на заинтересованные российские и зарубежные организации-партнёры.
Программу семинара откроет приглашённый эксперт из Азии — профессор Латифа Абд Манаф, заместитель декана факультета лесного хозяйства и экологии Университета Путра Малайзия, которая представит доклад об управлении твёрдыми отходами на примере Малайзии. Далее слово будет передано доцентам департамента экологической безопасности и менеджмента качества продукции ИЭ РУДН: М.Д. Харламова выступит с темой удаления запахов летучих органических соединений при переработке биоорганических отходов, а затем А.И. Курбатова расскажет о влиянии стратегий циркулярной экономики на ресурсную, экологическую и санитарно-эпидемиологическую безопасность России.
Завершат семинар выпускники англоязычной магистерской программы «Integrated Solid Waste Management» из Ганы. Принц Люмор представит сравнительную оценку воздействия на окружающую среду при захоронении и термической переработке твёрдых коммунальных отходов, а Джозеф Хенри Асаре-Кума поделится результатами исследования потенциала пиролиза пластиковых отходов для получения топлива.
Мероприятие позволит объединить опыт экспертов из Малайзии, России и Ганы, создать пространство для плодотворного обмена знаниями и получить практические инсайты, полезные для развития сферы обращения с отходами в разных странах.- Дата и время: 15 июня 2026 г., с 11:00 до 15:00 (МСК)

On June 15, 2026, an international scientific seminar «Solid Waste Management and Circular Economy» will be held. The event is aimed at students of the Institute of Environmental Engineering and other academic departments of RUDN University, as well as interested Russian and international partner organizations.
The seminar programme will be opened by an invited expert from Asia — Professor Latifah Abd Manaf, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Forestry and Environment, Universiti Putra Malaysia, who will present a case study on solid waste management in Malaysia. The floor will then be given to associate professors of the Department of Environmental Safety and Product Quality Management, Institute of Environmental Engineering, RUDN University: first, M.D. Kharlamova will speak on the removal of odours from volatile organic compounds in bio-organic waste management, followed by A.I. Kurbatova, who will discuss the impact of circular economy strategies on resource, environmental and health security in Russia.
The seminar will be concluded by graduates of the English-taught Master's programme «Integrated Solid Waste Management» from Ghana. Prince Lumor will present a comparative environmental impact assessment of landfilling and waste-to-energy technologies (incineration) for municipal solid waste management, while Joseph Henry Asare-Kuma will share the results of his research on the potential of plastic waste pyrolysis to produce fuel for sustainable energy.
The event will bring together the expertise of specialists from Malaysia, Russia and Ghana, create a space for fruitful knowledge exchange, and provide practical insights useful for the development of waste management practices in different countries.
